The Golden Life

chels:

I came downstairs yesterday morning to find that Dad had just started watching this movie about Bill Cunningham, a fashion photographer in New York. I sat down to watch it with him, and I haven’t been able to stop thinking about it since then. It tells the story of Cunningham’s work, his life, and his legacy. It’s a beautiful film, and it’s a little bit sad, but ultimately it’s about someone who has figured out how to do what he loves every single day. Check it out on Netflix Instant.

(Also: Who knew Dad shared my interest in documentaries, photographers, and fashion? It’s totally rad hanging out with my retired Pops.)

I told myself I would never re-blog but this just is amazing. I fell in love. Watch it. NOW. My eyes are glaring into your soul until you do.
